The GSDC is excited to present at the 2024 Digital Archiving in the Commonwealth (DAIC) Annual Meeting on Friday, November 15th in Richmond, VA! This will be our first GSDC-centric conference event that features two panelists, one from a community organization and one from Virginia Tech.
As a regionally-focused archival annual meeting, DAIC is the perfect venue for us to kick off our outreach events. DAIC highlights the intersection of GLAM, pedagogy, research, theory, and practice For this presentation, we’re focusing on the big picture – how GSDC came to be, what problems we hope to solve, and our strategies and outcomes that make us a unique community group. Interacting with the audience through a Mentimeter survey, we hope to engage in some specific dialogue to continue to improve the type of community and services we maintain.
